The Greater Good Home Newspaperby Dennis Wedlick
The Greater Good Home Newspaper was released in June 2010 and is inspired by Dennis Wedlick’s recent design for a passive house, The Hudson Passive Project. Not only does the home embody soul and charm, it requires almost no energy to run, bringing with it a renewed belief in the transformative power of architecture. It outlines the tremendous opportunity we have in America today to change our approach to rural residential development and the countless ways that practitioners and consumers can contribute to a more sustainable architectural future. The Greater Good Home Newspaper is quite simply about good design—beautiful, site-specific, historically-aware, modern, picturesque and personal—and how design can contribute to the greater good. As such, is a continuation of the work DWA has been doing since its founding almost 20 years ago.
